this year, or anything else that happens to be on your mind regarding
Carlisle, check it out

Also, if you want
your convoy information posted in the 2010 planning pages, send me an email

After many trials
and tribulations the MCA mailing list (formally IMON) is back online.
If you were a subscriber to the IMON list, you should be receiving a welcome
message with your new password. We recommend that you login to the
settings page and change your password to something you can remember.
If you are
experiencing any problem with the list, please see the thread in the general
section of the club forums.
Thank you for your

MCA (IMON) mailing list status update
20-June-2009 6:00p EST
The mailing list
is currently offline due to an unexpected problem with our hosting company.
Our team of volunteers is working to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
Status updates will be posted here and in the General Section of the MCA
forums.
Changes coming to the IMON mailing list
14-June-2009 5:00p EST
In order to reduce
costs and improve service, the list will be moving to a new ISP within the
next couple weeks. We are trying
to make this change as seamless as possible, but there may be a short outage
and/or some action required by all current subscribers to maintain their
subscription. We will keep
everyone updated on any possible required actions via this list. Furthermore, we'll post updates on
the MCA home page as well as on the MCA Forum General Section, in a thread
entitled, "IMON Updates".

A team of volunteer judges led by
Jim Gosses gave up their time on Saturday to walk the show-field seeking out
noteworthy Merkurs and their owners. The quality of innovative and well
turned out cars was truly amazing this year - which made their job
especially hard. We'd like to express our sincere gratitude for all
the judges’ hard work in selecting this year’s winners.
Below are listed the
award winners that received their awards during a ceremony at the Carlisle
Awards reception held at the Radisson, Camp Hill.
Merkur Innovation Awards: Dimitri Wittal & Sean Hansen
Merkur Preservation Awards: Jack Middleton & David Baylor
Freundschaft entlang der Strasse (Friendship along the
road): Peter Orlinski & Joe Smith

Best in Show Scorpio: Jeff Herson
Merkur Outstanding Engineering Award: Bob Saffian

You can check out a large selection of pictures,
including the awards reception here courtesy of Paul West. In addition, several other
participants have shared pictures which can be found in the Carlisle 2009
planning forum.
As most of you know, this year
marked the return of the Autocross event to the All-Ford Nationals. This event has always been a favorite
among fans and participants alike.
You can check out the action on YouTube here!
Well done everybody! We'd also like to thank
everyone who participated this year, as well as all of those members who
worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make "Merkurs at Carlisle 2009" a
resounding success. Don't forget to start making plans for next year’s
BIG celebration - the Silver (25th) anniversary of the Merkur program!
