Watch out for that camber... it's the leading cause of having to buy new tires among trailers with STA's!

Funny you should mention that, as I was just discussing that very point on the Subaru Forum. As it sits unladen, there
is visually obvious POSITIVE camber - probably 2-3 degrees. Do you think that will go in a negative direction with a load?

There's a center adjustment bolt for the torsion spring on this assembly. I'm thinking I should set it on full
soft when the trailer is empty, although it may not make any significant difference.

Worse case, the wheels are 13's, so they're cheap.

Well I was admiring Brad's handywork on the trailer when my wife walked by.

Looking at the first picture she said, "is that a wreck or something".
My reply: "No thats Brads backyard, and his new trailer".

"your all sick!"

"Yes honey we are, but you did know that before you married me".

I must add, earlier today i brought four doors and and XR hood home and into the basement. That may have had something to do with it.

Always happy to provide some entertainment for the kids at home.

I've already dissembled the trailer - need to drill some holes for the outer uprights and then I'll paint and reassemble. No question, it would have been easier to just buy one, but I tend to take the "path less traveled".

Oh yea, and putting the springs on "full soft" did result in the wheels going slightly more negative, but still about 2.4 degrees positive. Hopefully with a load it'll go more neutral.

Man, I'm gonna have to give this thing a new name. Hmmm, how 'bout if I just spell it this way instead....

BRATrailer :?

I'll try to post some updated pics this weekend. After doing some required engineering updates, I finished it last weekend and immediately used it to haul a load of firewood. So far, so good...
