Pocono MCA Gathering
April 28-29

Just as spring arrives here in the northeast, a brand-new Merkur event will be held to usher in the season in which we can most enjoy our cars!  On Saturday, April 28th and Sunday, April 29th, the Merkur Club of America will sponsor the Pocono Merkur Weekend.  This is going to be THE meet to be at before Carlisle.  Join fellow Merkur owners for two days of Merkur-talk and Merkur-driving!  This event will include a Carlisle-style parking lot party, a scenic cruise to the top of Camelback Mountain for a photo op at sunset and dinner at a local brew-pub.  The event will be held at the  Ramada Limited in Tannersville, PA at the foot of Camelback Mountain just of Exit 45 on I-80.  

The Pocono Merkur Weekend will begin at noon on Saturday.  From noon-6 p.m., participants will have the opportunity to hang out and have some great Merkur fun!  This is also a great opportunity to show off your beloved XR4Ti or Scorpio.  We will then drive to the top of Camelback mountain for some sunset photo opportunities.  After that it's dinner at the Pocono area's premier brew-pub in an impressive post & beam brew-house.  Kids are welcome.  On Sunday morning, we will have breakfast and there will be more time to visit with friends and engage in more Merkur talk!  At noon on Sunday, we will all get together to do what Merkurs do best....drive!  We’re talking scenic driving through the gorgeous back roads of the Pocono Mountains.  Don’t just bring your driving gloves, make sure you throw a camera in the glove box too!  We will stop at a few excellent photo-op locations!

Not only is this a great chance to renew your Merkur friendships, this can also be a great family getaway!  The Holiday Inn is located in the heart of the Pocono Mountains only minutes away from many major attractions including the outstanding Crossings Outlet Center (one of the biggest and best in the country!).

All this for only $59 per room.  (Children under 12 are free.  Over 12 they are $10).  Reservations should be made A.S.A.P. directly with the Ramada Inn at (570) 629-4100.  Make sure you mention you are attending the Merkur Club event to get the special rate (all reservations must be made before Saturday, April 7th...so don‘t delay!).
